Measuring Roman Blinds
For inside recess mounting:
Calculate the width of the window frame both at the top and the bottom and the length both left and right. Make sure you insert the smallest calculated width and height (in mm) when ordering. To ensure that the blind operates smoothly inside the recess, 10-12 mm will be deducted from the given width.
For outside recess mounting:
Calculate the width and drop of the window. For optimal light control, overlap the window by 75 mm on each side to both width and drop. All protrusions (window sills, doors, wardrobes, etc.) must be considered when making sure there is enough space for the overlap.
Please note:
Make sure there are no window latches, door handles or central heating pipes and other obstructions in the way before you measure.
You must consider the bundle height (25-40 cm, depending on the size of the blind) when ordering a roman blind, so that windows or doors can open/close freely.
If the shades you have ordered are meant to be placed in the same room, please use the contact page to contact the Customer Service department after placing the order, so that we can pattern match your shades.
There is an international shrink tolerance of 2-3% which applies on fabric for Roman and Austrian blinds. Polyester shrinks the least.
They are not suitable for moisture-heavy interiors.
